Following a short break for refreshments Jim Barber gave his monthly sky notes, mentioning the new monthly challenge, but witheld the March challenge until it is posted on this web site. Both the sky notes and a new page reporting on monthly challenges can be found through links on the index page.

Colin's talk described in detail the history behind the European Extremely Large Telescope, including the ongoing problems both physical and financial and what is hoped to be achieved.
