Visitors came thick and fast and DAS members were kept busy all day

The James Hutton Instutue Open Farm Day was held on June 7th and members of Dundee Astronomical Society were on hand to show to visitors a little of what they and other amateur astronomers are observing and studying.

Here can be seen, from left to right, the DAS observatory, an 8 inch Schmidt–Cassegrain telescope  (SCT), a 6" SCT, a lonely tripod and a 2.5" solar telescope.
Please do not look at the sun through a telescope or binoculars without correct safety filters atached, and never look at the sun without special glasses designed for that purpose.
